Our goal? To create a sophisticated, harmonious space that honored Laura’s beloved furniture pieces while breathing new life into her home.
Laura first discovered Design on a Dime Interiors through a realtor’s testimonial, and after seeing our work, she knew we were the team to trust.
She had previously worked with another designer who helped stage their former home, but that designer was out of state. With a deep appreciation for classic furniture, Laura wanted a refresh, not a reinvention.
The Challenge: Merging Old & New
Laura’s vision was clear—she wanted a timeless aesthetic, but her existing Queen Anne bedroom set and other traditional furnishings felt outdated. The challenge was to integrate these well-loved pieces into a modern, airy design that felt intentional rather than mismatched.
The bedroom, in particular, needed a transformation. While some modern elements, such as an upholstered headboard and contemporary nightstands, had been introduced by the previous designer, they clashed with her classic furniture. The space felt disjointed, tired, and uninspired. It was our mission to bring it all together.

✨ Drapery Makeover – We replaced the heavy, dark drapes with custom window treatments featuring a two-tone, floor-to-ceiling design that allows for an airy, expansive feel.
✨ Balanced Traditional & Contemporary Accents – Instead of replacing her treasured pieces, we introduced updated lamps, carefully chosen artwork, and textured throws to add depth and warmth.
