Reimagining an Original Home into a Custom, Modern Kitchen Designed for Comfort and Function
The client had recently purchased a home in a highly sought-after neighborhood. After viewing several properties, she decided that the layout and structure of this house best aligned with her vision for a remodel.
The home, which was sold by the original owner, had never been renovated and featured mostly original elements—except for some DIY exposed pipes near the kitchen sink.
The client’s primary goal was to create a functional, modern kitchen with all the bells and whistles. She wanted a space that included a pot filler, gold finishes, a coffee bar, a large pantry, and a spacious island.
We were thrilled to take on this project, as the house and the host were warm, inviting, and very collaborative.
Here’s the ‘before’ state
To begin, we developed a detailed demolition plan.
We opened up the gallery-style kitchen to make room for a large island.
The renovation included new flooring, custom cabinetry, plumbing adjustments, and the relocation of the stove.
We also added a pot filler, new appliances, task lighting, a coffee bar, and a wine bar. The space was finished off with elegant new countertops and backsplash.
And the results?
The client was absolutely amazed by their kitchen,
so a hearty celebration was in order!
